How far does the pendulum of procrastination have to swing to complete its course? I often wonder this. It would be nice to know the limits of its extreme. If I knew how far its reach was then I would be able to judge the length of time it takes for it to reach maturity. With this understanding I could go day-by-day guilt free in the face of the unfinished obligation because I would know how far I could 'milk' the time until I had no choice but to complete it. However, as it stands, this is not privy information. So, I have to wrestle with trying to decide when procrastination is no longer an option. Thus, I finally had to face the task of dismantling my scrapbook room, today, and take it all back downstairs to the basement. Guilt and necessity won out. Hopefully, procrastination will stay at bay so that this project can be completed and release its hold on my time....
In the mean time, Steve has spent time on the internet trying to figure out a schedule for his vacation time this coming summer so that we can go to Zambia. God willing, we are going to go! He says that we will fly into Paris and catch a plane to Zambia. We will stay a week. Then we will spend 3-5 days in Paris, on the way home. All this depends on if he can get two flights with his frequent flyer miles. It is sometimes a challenge to do this since there is only one plane flying to Zambia. Before we go, I have to have my immunizations up to date. And we want to know the cultural differences we will face. It would be a sad thing to offend someone because of a lack of understanding. And I needed to update my passport, too. So, today, Steve and I filed a new application for such. This is happening so fast! I will keep you updated as this all progresses...no room for procrastination on this one!
This blog is going to be a short one. I am very tired. So, I am going to go crawl onto my foam mattress and sink away into oblivion!...at least this is my hope. Perhaps, tomorrow will be more conducive to sharing my thoughts, plans, and activities. Nighty night!
