Just Me
Here's lookin' at'cha!
WELCOME! WELCOME! WELCOME!
Thanks for checking in to my site. While you are here, I hope that you find subjects of mutual interest that will bring you pleasure and/or inspiration. It will be fun to share some of my favorite things with you. Take a look around and check in often! And be patient as I experiment with this site and try to make it a great place to visit!
If my hands can be kept busy or my mind stimulated, I am a happy camper. I enjoy keeping busy with projects that bring pleasure to others and myself. Beading, quilting, paper crafts, and simple knitting, with various other creative mediums, keep me entertained. Most anything creative will grab my attention and inspire me. I find beauty in flowers and landscapes so I try to capture them in photo. Non-fiction in the sciences, biographies, and theology keep my mind occupied as I putter with projects. My former occupations were those of a professional Floral Designer and a published Needlework Designer. In the spiritual arena, I give complete allegiance to the God of this creation and to His Son, Christ Jesus, Who provides me with a peace in my heart that defies logic. In this relationship, I have opportunity to teach His ways to other women who seek to know Him better. I am not perfect but I believe that I am interesting to know as I navigate through life, day-by-day, and that by the grace of God.
If I am ever able to go back to Zambia, I hope to bring back a few of these bowls. Because of limited space in our suitcase, we were not able to buy one. Rats!
More Zambian textiles
I was so impressed with the fibrant colors in their cloth.
Gourds for sale alongside the road.
These are just beautiful and I wanted each one of them!
Handcarved Bowls
These are all handcarved and polished to a glossy finish. They used shoe polish as their stain and finish.

See what you can do with gourds?
Zambian art fabric
This is one example of Zambian handiwork that we saw.

My Other Blog Site
Here is the address for my scrapbooking site. It is not the ideal and I may change to another site, if I find one that is easier to use. But, for the moment, this one will suffice. The site is in a 'working' state and will change with time as I construct it into a place to share my crafts, especially the scrapbooking layouts and other paper related items.
