This is the photo of Steve and I on the last leg of our flight into Ndola. We were supposed to be on a larger flight and there were about fifty people waiting to fly out. But, after almost a full day of waiting, we were put on this tiny jet which held only 12 people. We were told that the larger jet had a flat tire, but some wayfaring strangers (who took this photo of us) told us that they had been at the airport the day before for their flight out, only to be told that there was no gas for the plane! So, they had a longer wait than us. And to think that we thought we were saving our friends the trouble of having to drive for three hours to pick us up! They waited for us all day to arrive in Ndole from Lusaka, where we were stuck, not knowing why we were delayed. When all was said and done, they could have picked us up and still had part of their day left. Regardless, Steve and I were very happy to finally arrive in Ndola!
